This option is a simpler option used to make Cross Section strings by cutting through provided 3d data.
It is very similar to “X-Sections from Cuts through strings” for which there is a video and explanation on how the option is applied.
Looking at the two options, the limitation with this option is no “Special Chainage file” can be used. But the final results in a new model of section strings is the same.
To view the “Regular Cuts through strings” Panel,
Use: Design => X-Sections => X-section from Regular Cuts thru Strings
Additional “Cuts” Cross Section options can be found under the menu:
Utilities => A-G => Cuts“
This includes a function option, but the model of data to cut through must already be merged into one model through which the cuts will be produced.
