Export entire water network
  • Yes, you want this ticked: on
  • Unless you have a reason to only exported selected water strings.
Export water network as IFCSYSTEM
  • Yes, you want this ticked: on
  • Yes. You want this ticked: on
    • Water links/nodes will be exported as IfcFlowSegment/IfcDistributionChamberElement.

Some software does not support IfcSystem. We generally say that is their problem, not yours.  However, if you must dumb-down your water network, then this is the setting to do it.

  • Un-tick this option to export your water network as ‘Proxy’ junk.
  • When the BIM Person complains about ‘proxy’ junk, quietly explain what they don’t understand.
Chord to arc tolerance
  • If non-zero, water string arcs are broken up by the tolerance before exporting to IFC.
Chainage Interval
  • If non-zero, water string straights are broken up by the interval before exporting to IFC.e Interval
Node name mode
  • Naming convention to use for Water Nodes.
Link name mode
  • Naming convention to use for Water Strings.
Export as tiny pipes
  • When Ticked: on, zero diameter links are given the Tiny pipe diameter.
  • If you have links with zero diameter, then they will probably need a diameter.
Tiny pipe diameter real box 0.0001
  • Used when Export Tiny Pipes is ticked: on
Exclude water network attributes
