This option is used to calculate the surface area of a tin within each polygon
in a selected model.

Pick the <Model> button and select the model of polygon/s required.
Type in a new report file name and hit the <Enter> key.

Here is the Surface Area 2 Report file which is opened after the panel was run.
The report will contain the surface area and plan area details for each of the polygons in the selected model.
