This option is used to generate a model of Cross Section Strings through a TIN surface perpendicular to a control string.
The Cross Sections will match the surface of the TIN (DTM) surface and may contain a lot of vertices if the tin surface has small triangles.
This often leads to difficulty when plotting the generated Cross Section strings. Check out the “X-Sections from cuts through string” option. If “Design” strings are present this option it will provide a cleaner result for plotting and should better represent the cross section drawings if they have been provided.
